Student Complaints/Grievances Policy
The purpose of this document is to outline avenues and policies by which students make or submit a grievance about any aspect of his or her education experience. A grievance is a claim, a complaint, or an expression of concern made by a student which may include rules, regulations, procedures, misapplication of course policies, or unfair treatment by any instructor or employee either in person or online. Below will outline the Integrative Health Practitioner Institute’s procedure in order to resolve any grievances/complaints a student may have about the policies or procedures which the institution operates under.
In any case in which a grievance/complaint arises, students should initially discuss the matter with their program director immediately. If the matter cannot be solved through this initial discussion, a student has the right to appeal in order for the complaint to be submitted to a next level of authority.
Students have the right to appeal to all matters with respect to:
1. Educational policies, procedures, and grading concerns
2. Tuition and fee matters
3. Admissions decisions
A student wishing to escalate his or her complaint should follow the steps listed below:
1. The first step of any grievance/complaint is to address and resolve the dispute with the person involved through discussion. A student should bring a grievance/complaint to the attention of the support staff of IHP as soon as possible to ensure the issue is resolved in a timely manner. If the dispute cannot be resolved at this level, students are encouraged to take the issue to the next level.
2. The next step is to address the issue verbally with the program director of Integrative Health Practitioner Institute. If after talking with the program director the dispute cannot be resolved a student is encouraged to put their grievance/complaint in writing.
3. A student may submit their written grievance/complaint to the director of Integrative Health Practitioner Institute. This written complaint must be submitted within seven calendar days of the incident. This written document should include a description of the disputed items, the date (or dates) when the issue arose, the reason why the student is grieving the decision and the steps the student has taken to resolve the dispute to date. The student should include as much factual evidence as possible when submitting this appeal, such as documentation, receipts, or evidence of extenuating circumstances. The director of Integrative Health Practitioner will oversee the gathering of additional data about the issue or incident as necessary.
4. If the dispute cannot be resolved through the director of Integrative Health Practitioner Institute, they will forward the written complaint to Dr. Stephen Cabral, who will meet with the student if requested and/or otherwise assess and develop a resolution to the complaint. A response from Dr. Stephen Cabral will be provided to the student within 7 calendar days after the written complaint was submitted to email@example.com. The response will be delivered by email or mailing address on record, with acknowledgement of receipt required. All decisions made by the Campus Appeals Committee are final.
5. Additional disclosure: IHP reserves the right to remove any student for misconduct we deem appropriate without warning. A refund will not be issued in these cases.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with this course you may request a refund within 30 days for a full, no hassles, 100% money-back guarantee.
Simply contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org within 30 days of your original enrollment/first payment date and we will be happy to process the request.
We always strive to make improvements to the IHP Level 1 and Level 2 programs, so although this is a no questions asked money-back guarantee, we would appreciate any feedback you may have about the course.
IHP reserves the right to remove any student for misconduct we deem appropriate without warning. A refund will not be issued in these cases.
